The learning disability provision here at Burton Street has developed and evolved over time into a unique set of services offering bespoke sessions to suit our client’s needs and aspirations.
Our ethos is always to embrace what someone can do rather than focus on what they can’t.
All sessions are designed to help develop our client’s self-esteem, self-confidence and self-awareness.
In our sessions we explore new sensory activities, encourage discussion and expression of clients feelings and thoughts, enabling them to reach their own personal goals.
Our building aptly reflects our work, with art displayed on every available wall, music playing throughout the site, the smell of fresh baking wafting down the corridors, and most importantly: laughter wherever you go.
We work alongside our clients, encouraging and supporting them. Over the years our services have expanded and our expertise has grown and we now run over 90 tailored, creative sessions with around 200 clients attending on a weekly basis. Our experienced and creative staff are motivated to provide a high quality and personal service for adults and children.
