Art from the Heart
We’ve just come to the end of our Art from the Heart exhibition and can we just say... wow!
The extent of our clients’ brilliant talents and creativity were seen by hundreds, who came throughout the week, from our opening night to the very last day people from across the city came to see our work.
Our opening evening was such a success in itself; we were joined by Liz Hall, a brilliant artist who created one of our clients’ favourite elephants during the Herd of Sheffield campaign, Bugsy. We’d like to say a massive thank you to Liz, who stepped in at the last minute after Joe Scarborough was no longer able to attend, to help us open our event. Thank you Liz!
Everyone we spoke to commented on their amazement of what has been produced and we have to admit, we don’t blame them. Bamforth building was a stunning feat of innovation and ingenuity, with chains holding artwork high up towards the ceiling, allowing for two to three rows of paintings to hang from the roof. All of artwork was carefully created; you could tell that each piece had been selected for a reason.
We received some really positive feedback, comments such as:
‘Thank you for the invite. Clear and distinct styles shine through from the work. Many ‘happy’ paintings. Some wonderful expressive work. I’ve enjoyed this very much.’
‘Brilliant exhibition with amazing artwork! Such a range of work and creative skills and a great opportunity for people to showcase their work, which will help people’s confidence and self-expression to develop. Always great to be back at Burton Street!’
‘We loved seeing all the artwork- all really creative and different. The videos were something we especially enjoyed.’
With all the feedback we got, the atmosphere throughout the week the exhibition was on and the reaction it got from our clients, we are happy to say this event was a massive success and we can’t wait to do it again next year!
But of course we wouldn’t have been able to put this on without our dedicated staff members who pulled together and made this event possible, thank you to Justin Sheppy, Leon O’Doherty, Bob Hobson, Dan White, Jack Samways, Isabelle France, Barry Brown, Andy Beeston, Rob Elliot, Jenean Kirk, Zoe Jenkinson, Ellie Lomas, Deborah and Jo Wallace from the Alzheimer’s society and many others.
