ASET - the work based and placement learning association
ASET is the professional body for employability staff. It has been at the forefront of developments in sandwich courses and other forms of work placements in higher education for 30 years. We represent over 1300 academic and administrative placement staff at more than 100 HEIs.
ASET has been the catalyst for the development of guidelines in many areas and also the promotion and dissemination of best practice. We also seek to champion the general concept of work-based learning.
ASET is any educational charity run by work-based learning practitioners for work-based learning practitioners and offers support, advice, guidance and representation to all professionals who work in the sector.
As the leading organisation in the work-based and placement learning sector we seek to provide independent and influential strategic leadership for it.
Membership gives all relevant staff at universities, further education colleges and employers the opportunity to benefit from and contribute to a wealth of experience and expertise.

Support Planning
If you live in Sheffield we can work with you to develop your Support Plan.
Community Involvement. Community Involvement is where people are naturally connected to others who have similar interests or who want to achieve the same things.
We will listen to you to find out what is important to you, what your interests are and how you would like to live your life.
‘Have A Nice Day’ Community Co-ordination – We provide co-ordinators who organise meaningful activities in places across Sheffield. They are trained to work alongside you and your Personal Assistant, so you get the most out of your day.
Themed Cafés -These are in accessible venues for approximately 3 hours, including time for lunch. They have a focus/theme - for example Art Café, Dance Café, Storytelling Café. The Cafés offer a place for you to meet others who have similar interests and have fun!
Training and Development
We can work with you, your family, carer or Personal Assistant to think about the training and development they may want and need to design an individual training plan based around your needs.
Consultancy
We can work alongside your organisation to understand what it does now and what it needs to do to embrace Self Directed Support.

Yellow Bus Events Ltd
Yellow Bus Events runs an annual programme of events including firework spectaculars, a comedy festival, Christmas events, festivals of street entertainment and Fright Night- Britains biggest Halloween Carnival, which now attracts 40,000 visitors.
