Sheffield Leisure Library
The Sheffield Leisure Library is a registered charity that loans leisure and multi-sensory items to people with learning difficulties, their families and carers for them to enjoy and learn through activities. The Leisure Library provides the opportunity for adults, children and young people to choose things for themselves and to develop self confidence.
Some of the equipment available to borrow is expensive to buy outright and it is always possible that it would not be suitable or simply not liked by the person using it. At the Leisure Library you can borrow items for very little cost over a short period of time, which gives people the chance to try out a wide variety of games or equipment to find out what they really like.
There is a large range of items that can be borrowed which include:
• Jigsaw Puzzles
• Table-Top games
• Light and sound equipment
• Keyboards and musical instruments
• Sensory equipment
• Equipment designed to encourage co-ordination skills
For a full list of items please ask to see our catalogue. In the near future full details of the Leisure Library including the catalogue will be available to view online at www.burtonstreet.co.uk.
